Integration

Gemini is a model key rather than a Connection. You paste your own key, Google bills you directly at their rates, and Selfbase never marks that up.

What it does

• Runs the agent on Gemini models across Threads, Build, and Grow.
• Reads which models your key can reach, and hides the ones that cannot answer a prompt.
• Checks the key once when you paste it, so a bad key surfaces then rather than mid-Run.

Connecting

Open You, then Model keys, and paste a key from aistudio.google.com/apikey. Google stops accepting standard API keys in September 2026, so Selfbase says so when you paste one.

How your credentials are held

Your key is encrypted with a key held in AWS KMS and is only ever shown back to you masked. It is decrypted at the moment a Run calls Google, and the call goes to Google directly.

Removing it

Delete the key in You, then Model keys. Revoke it in AI Studio if you want it dead everywhere.
